King Arms – X-47 AK Rail System

{simplegrade:4}
Manufacturer: King Arms
Type: Rail System

King Arms – X-47 AK Rail System

The King Arms – X-47 AK Rail System is an all aluminum rail system which is a replica of the TDI rail system used on BHI SOPMOD AK series. I intalled this on my AK74 SOPMOD project.

King Arms – X-47 AK Rail System

The King Arms X-47 is a CNC machined aluminum rail system. It has full X-47 markings and shipped with TDI replica rail covers. It is lighter in weight then my First Factory X47 Rail but is very comparable in buidl quality.There were some slgiht fitting issues, but they easily worked itself out.

Kreb’s Custom – Fore-End Grip Adapter

{simplegrade:5}
Manufacturer: Kreb’s Customs, (USA)
Type:External Body Add-on

KCI – Fore-End Grip Adapter

I was a brief, proud owner of a GWS – Offset Vertical Grip, but fortunately Kreb’s started production of a new and improved AK offset grip. Luckily I was able to score 1 too.

KCI – Fore-End Grip Adapter

This new Krebs version is just an offset, canted rail adapter. It also integrates a forward sling attachment point and liek teh original has a well desinged for use with a tactical light.

KCI – Fore-End Grip Adapter

Like the orignal Krebs AK grip, the offset aspect of the grip allows for an AK-47 style magazine to be released and pushed forward for removal.

GWS – Offset Vertical Grip

{simplegrade:4}
Manufacturer: GWS, (Hong Kong)
Type:External Body Add-on

GWS – Offset Vertical Grip

The GWS – Offset Vertical Grip is a replica of the Kreb’s Custom Offset Vertical grip they design for use on the BHI SOPMOD AK. For a few years now I’ve been trying to buy the real Kreb’s grip, but I never was able to find 1 for sale and sadly it seems they’ve been discontinued. Luckily GWS made a replica of the Krebs Grip recently, and even though I had a bad experience with GWS‘ parts already, I had to add this for the price.

GWS – Offset Vertical Grip with Surefire sharing the same rail

The build is all plastic with metal allen screws. This grip mounts to the side rail which aids in AK47 magazine removal (See Below). You’ll notice the "C" cutout on the side of the grip. This accommodate the use of a Tactical Light on the same side rail and the positioning of the tail cap switch near your thumb.

GWS – Offset Vertical Grip – Full View

The offset aspect of the grip allows for an AK-47 style magazine to be released and pushed forward for removal. With a normal vertical grip on the bottom rail, the more curved AK47 magazines will sometimes hit the grip during removal.

Pro Arms – M203 CQB Grip w/Light Mount

{simplegrade:3}
Manufacturer: Pro Arms (Hong Kong)
Type: Vertical Grip

Pro Arms – M203 CQB Grip w/Light Mount

The Pro Arms – M203 CQB Grip w/Light Mount is a replica of one of RM Equipment’s products called the M203Grip. The Pro-Arms replica uses a lateral pressure attachment system and attaches to 1 of the M203’s fore grip ribs very securely.

It also comes with a Tactical Light attachment which can be mounted either side. The light attachment works with 1" diameter tactical lights with a tail cap screw on switch. Most metal Surefire’s and clones will work. Surefire Nitrolons will not work though. There is a ridge in the light attachment where the tail cap pressure fits. The light attachment screws into the plastic of the vertical grip though, so if your not careful, you may strip the threads.

  • Does it aid in grenade loading or removing on an M203? For me no.
  • Does it look cooler then just an M203 by itself? Subjective.
  • Does it add more un needed weight to your AEG? You betcha.

Star – “Brittle” Grip

{simple grade:1}
Manufacturer: Star Airsoft (Hong Kong)
Type: Pistol Grip

Star – Battle “Brittle” Grip

I have been a long time satisfied customer of Star Airsoft, from purchasing their Special Forces Crane Stock and Low Cap Magazine Box Set a few years back. Unfortunately I either recently got a lemon, or Star’s using some pretty shoddy plastic as of late.

Star – Battle “Brittle” Grip

I Installed the grip on my VLTOR Modified TM M4 about 2 months ago. Grip felt nice a ergo, but tended to get warm during sustained full auto fire. It’s been basically in and out of the rifle bag 3-4 times and never in field. A few days ago I pull the AEG out and hear "snap". A crack had opened near the centerline of the back strap and internally pieces cracked and were chipping off.

Star – Battle “Brittle” Grip

Bottom line, the AEG sat in the rifle bag for about 2 months… And it broke due to non use ;(

First Factory – X47 AK Rail System

{simplegrade:5}
Manufacturer: Nitro Vo (Japan)
Type: Rail System

First Factory – X47 AK Rail System

The First Factory/NitroVo – X47 AK Rail System is an all aluminum rail system which is a copy of the TDI rail system used on BHI SOPMOD AK series. This is my latest addition to my AK SOPMOD project.

First Factory – X47 AK Rail System – Best Packaging for a Rail System EVER 😉

It differs from the UFC and Land Arms X47's in that it has no TDI/X47 marking or TDI copied rail Covers. Quality wise the build is solid and installation is straight forward. On my setup I have the G&P metal body, so the upper fore grip was a tight fit.

King Arms – AK Stock Adapter

{simplegrade:4}
Manufacturer: King Arms (Hong Kong)
Type: Stock Adapter

King Arms – AK Stock Adapter

The King Arms – AK Stock Adapter is an affordable and cleverly designed add-on for most full stock AK47 and AK74 bodies. It's made mostly of a reinforced plastic or resin and lets you easily add an M4 style butt stock to an AK.

King Arms – AK Stock Adapter in Element AK74 Metal Body

The adapter is already set for rear wiring of a battery capable stock. Adn comes with the QD Sling Swivel. I have dry fit this adapter onto the following AK bodies:

  • TM AK47 Plastic Body – Fits Perfectly. Durability questionable since Plastic Body + Plastic Stock Adapter + Metal Stock Tube may not be the most durable in the long run.
  • TM Compatible AK47 Metal Bodies (CA, King Arms, Prime, DTP, Element) – Fits well. In some cases some sanding may be needed. Not the adapters fault though.
  • AK74 Style Full Stock Metal Bodies (Element) – Fits but needs dremelling. Also not the adapters fault.

Installation was EXTREMELY easy. Installation manual here.

Trigger Happy – EBR CQB Kit

{simplegrade:5}
Manufacturer: Trigger Happy (Korea)
Type: Stock Conversion

Trigger Happy – EBR CQB Kit on a TM M14 SOCOM

The Trigger Happy EBR CQB Conversion uses an M4 style buttstock over the Sage style buttstock. Since the intial release of the Trigger Happy EBR, GLock 17 Slide Sets and SF Silencer, I have been very impressed with the build quality of all their products to date.

The advantage of using an M4 style buttstock is you can use a battery capable butt stock. The EBR Conversion is already set to be rear wired, with holes and wiring pass throughs already ready for use.

Trigger Happy – EBR CQB Kit.

I set this 1 up with a G&P crane stock. Helps keep the EBR from getting front heavy.

It was an easy installation like the first Trigger Happy EBR version. If you choose to rear wire it even an easier install since you only need to make 1 wire extension and use existing connectors..

Classic Army – SCAR Convertible Outer Barrel

{simplegrade:5}
Manufacturer: Classic Army (Hong Kong)
Type:SCAR Convertible Outer Barrel

Classic Army – SCAR Convertible Outer Barrel

Added the Classic Army – SCAR Convertible Outer Barrel. This give the option of running the stock length or a shorter CQB style length. Gotta give HUGE PROPS to our pal Security Officer Allen (The King of SCARs) on doing the install on mine, as well as a few others at the AEX-LA shop. We found the Prometheus 300mm 6.03 EG Barrel for M733 / MC51 Long / Thompson to be the correct lenght to fit with the shorter outer barrel.
