I've only made 1 purchase from airsoftclan.com back in 2003. A deal on a Sun Project M203 RIS with trades dremeled off. The deal actually came off an AirsoftPlayers.com classified ad.

The guy I dealt with was nice enough and a few weeks after paypaling him money, I received what was promised. (I'm really not sure why there was a delay unless they didn't actually have stock)

Airsoftclan's website is SLOW to load and it seems that it hasn't been updated in at least 6-8 months. A few broken links/missing pages. So for eye candy or new release information, there are many other better sites to view.

Overall they seem ok to deal with. They just don't seem to take the airsoft biz that seriously.Update 1/2007

Airsoftclan has updated their web shopping engine in 2006.  There seems to be many inaccuracies in their product postings though and I'm still not 100% confident with reordering from them at this time.

Tokyo Marui, 2005 Lineup Calendar

This calendar was included in the Feb 2005 issue of Arms magazine. This was a 4 fold inside the magazine so I stitched it back together as best I could. If you want a cleaner version of this Calendar, please buy yourself a copy of Feb 2005 ARMS Magazine.

This is Marui's Marketing Departments commitment to what can be delivered by Marui this year, 2005 (AEG, Gas, Boys, Spring Rifle and Shotgun).

Missing in the lineup for 2005:

  • CAR15
  • XM177E2
  • SIG 550
  • SIG 551
  • Military AUG
  • G3A3
  • G3A4
  • SPAS12 Full Stock

All guns on the 2005 Calendar will probably be manufactured this year or at least delivered in 2005. (Meaning as far as Marui's Marketing Department goes, the P90 is still a viable product. This should help dispell or confirm rumors of what will be mfg'd or not).

This calendar does not show any new guns that will be released later this year like the Type 89 or M14. It only shows previously released guns.

Tokyo Marui – M4 S-System

{simplegrade:5}
Manufacturer: Tokyo Marui (Japan)
Type: AEG
Date Acquired: 12/2004

Just a quick posting on this for now. 10am on 12/15/04 and UPS brings me this:

These are the kind of UPS deliveries I like.

I didn't even have enough time to pull all the temporary putty off yet, but i wanted to post this and assure anyone who ordered from Den that you should all get yours soon if not already Wink

Even better when you open the box. Note, I haven't had time to take off all the temp putty

UPS delivered this to me at work and sadly I'm too busy to play with it right now. But i'll have everything cleaned up and more information after I get outta here… My boss is an ass Smile

Even Marui is putting Blackwater hats in the M4-S pics .

So far I can confirm the following:

  • Tabs are metal reinforced on the body.
  • 1 piece aluminum outer barrel.
  • S.I.R. will ONLY take an 8.4 Mini Battery. The battery well is an area bored out of the outer barrel.
  • Flip up rear sight is spring loaded like the real Knight's version.
  • Flip up front sight.
  • LE style rear stock.

Evening of 12/15/04

OK had some time to review the M4 S-System tonight. This will be an ongoing thing as long as questions keep coming in.

The S.I.R. is plastic and metal.

The S.I.R. is a bit different then the all metal S.I.R.'s that have been available. Above I marked the rails which are the only things on the S.I.R. that are metal. The Rest of the S.I.R. is plastic.

The beefier 1 piece outer barrel makes up for the lack of an all metal S.I.R. We're talking zero barrel wobble!!!

The front and rear folding sights are metal!!! The rear site is spring loaded and function like the real ARMS read S.I.R. sight.

Battery Physical Size Capacity. Note the underside of barrel has a notch cut out about 4" long

To accomodate a battery in the foregrip, TM had to mill/cut a section of the outer barrel. TM made this cut EXACTLY the length of an 8.4 mini battery. The only way I can forsee using a 9.6 mini battery is cut/dremel away more of the outer barrel to accomodate the added length. Other then that the only other things are the more tradtional: ready mag, crane stock, peq external battery. We'll have to wait and see if the airsoft accessorie market comes up with a more elegant alternative.

The final few external add-ons to this system for now:

Not sure what to do about internal upgrading for now due to the battery size limitation. I don't feel like doing any of the external battery tricks yet, but I do have a Laylax Sling on order, so that may solve the battery problem.

G&G SOPMOD Stock and G&P "Rebar Cutter" Flash Hider Installed

Always Wanted an SD Type. Added: EOTech 551.A65, Laylax SD Outer Barrel, KM Silencer

Latest Revision – Magpul M93R Stock, Magpul MIAD Grip, Noveske KX-3
