ESS Profile with Cortex Clip

ESS, a long time manufacturer of tactical eye protection for the Mil/LE/Govt markets, has made a goggle just for the airsoft market. There are 2 parts to this goggle:

1. The Cortex Clip – The Cortex clip attaches to any ESS Profile (NVG and Turbo Fan) series Goggle.
2. ESS Profile NVG or Profile Turbo Fan goggle.

So, yes… The nose protector I still need to get used to visually but it does add obvious protection. The Cortex Clip is a made of a rigid type of plastic.

The ESS Profile Goggles themselves are built for ventilation. But as with all Goggles, in the right situation, it can fog. Will have field details of this product in a couple of weeks.

The Cortex Clip can be completely removed from the Profile goggles, but the Cortex Clip adds specific side entry protection from aisoft bb’s.

USMC FROG Shirt Replica

This is a replica of the USMC FROG (Flame Resistant Organizational Gear) Shirt by Ebaybanned. It is NOT flame resitant like it real counterpart. The EBB replica is well built, but runs on the small side of each respective size (Medium and Large are teh only sizes available). The desert MARPAT material matches closely with authentic MARPAT.

The Oakley Sabot line of footwear is a new line that looks to be replacing Tactical Six lineup. The Sabot line uses less leather and suede than the Oakley’s S.I. (Standard Issue) Military Line, and is much cooler. They utilize a moisture wicking lining, much like the Oakley Basic Training line. They are extremely comfortable for all day wear, but you can feel the build difference between these and the S.I. Military Line.

Unfortunately the edges of the leather started turning white after about 1 week of wearing. Would not recommend this specific Oakleys due to that.

Esstac Patch Pouch

The problem I’ve noticed with the addiction to airsoft, are the follow up addictions to tactical gear, and in my case, more specifically custom embroidered tactical morale patches. Milspec Monkey, with Esstac, created these Patch Pouches to help organize your patch collection.

And voila! I lightweight, fast deploy, small footprint dump pouch. Genius! This is mounted on my Tactical Tailor Modular Padded Belt, but can easily be mounted on any PALS compatible webbing setup.

The Full Clip USA Dump Pouch is a totally new, highly innovative, and unique design. When not in use, it is highly compact (only 7inches long by 2 inches wide) and takes up only 1 row of PALS webbing on a vest. To deploy, just pull down on the quick release tab and the 2 side zippers silently and stealthily opens to reveal a pouch with enough capacity to hold a 2 liter soda bottle or MANY spent magazines. There is a heavy duty reinforced grommet hole at the bottom of the pouch to allow sand or water to pour through and an elastic cinch band around the opening to allow you to secure what you are carrying in the dump pouch. When you don?t need it anymore, just roll up the pouch, fold it into the nylon clamshell, and pull up the zippers on both sides. Just make sure to expose the quick release tab at the top for rapid redeployment.

I received a couple of questions on the dump pouch, from user Talon 0315 on Arnie’s.

Q – How many AR mags can the dump pouch hold panic-shoved?
A – Don’t know about "panic-shoved" but max capacity is 17-19. Hope that gives you an idea of how many in specific circumstances.

Q – Did it come with MALICE clips?
A- No, it has an attached PALS strap. You can just tuck it away if you want to use MALICE or BHI Speed Clips no problem.

Q – How secure was the top of the deployed pouch – could you run around without fear of losing magazines?
A – Elastic drawstring and pressure fastener. Nothing should fall out when running around. But this will all depend on the situation.

Every geardo at some time will have to own something created by John Willis and this was the time for me to get the Mookie War Rig – Light. AEX recently got a limited run of these chest rigs in stock.

The ATS Tactical Warbelt is a not a belt by itself. It similar to additional belt padding with 3 rows of PALs webbing. The ATS Warbelt will work with most tactical belts and is designed to work with drop leg hangers Any drop leg holster or modular panels will attach to the belt as usual. There are openings in the ATS Warbelt to accommodate this usage. The Warbelt also includes separate suspender loops.

How the Speed Clip works:

• Place the pouch so its webbing aligns with spaces between the webbing on the platform
